Children’s Liturgy

Mission

The Children’s 10:00 Sunday Liturgy is designed to "Bring the Good News to Life", celebrating the weekly scripture in an interactive way that is relevant to the lives of children.

Calendar

All children, parishioners and visitors, aged 3+, are welcome to attend. Sunday school is held every Sunday, except during holiday masses, e.g. Christmas, Palm Sunday, Easter, Mother’s Day,  and occassional summer masses.

K-6th Grade  Sunday School

Curriculum: The goal is to have the children participate in reading, discussing and understanding the weekly scripture and Catholic Doctrine, enabling them to carry the message forward into their daily lives.

Location: Behind the Altar, left hand side. Two lead teachers will lead the children down the center aisle, through the Hall of Saints and Sacristy to the "wedding Preparation" room located next to the Altar Servers dressing room.

Lesson Plan Samples: Examples of weekly lesson plans can be found in the links on the left. Lesson plan resources include: Catholic children’s Liturgy workbooks, children’s bibles and religious books and internet sites.

Pre-school Sunday School

Curriculum: The goal is to simplify the weekly scriptures using children’s books, coloring activities and singing.

Location: Sacristy. Two lead teachers will lead the pre-schoolers down the center aisle, through the Hall of Saints and into the Sacristy, behind the alter.
