Job Assist Program
Our Lady of Angels understands the hard economic times we face. Many parishioners and their families have lost jobs and are having difficulty securing employment.
In November, OLA began developing a program, called Job Assist to help parishioners in their efforts to secure employment. Volunteers have agreed to donate their time in three major areas to help their fellow parishioners and families in this time of great need. Some have agreed to be coaches, providing general guidance in job searches. Others have agreed to help with enhancing interviewing skills or writing or refining resumes. All of these individuals have received professional training and also have professional experience in the area of finding jobs.
We have also developed an Implementation Team to oversee all of these activities and to assure that parishioners who are candidates for work receive prompt and confidential services.
