St. Vincent de Paul
Mission
In support of love and justice, the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Mateo provides person-to-person services of time, talent and resources to help our neighbors in need. The principal function is providing assistance to the poor in the form of food, vouchers for food or lodging, clothing,household goods, rent assistance and transportation.
Calendar
Brown Bag Sunday - 1st Sunday of every month, beginning with 8:15 am set-up followed by 8:45 am preparation of the lunches. Pack-out of Brown Bag lunches conclude typically by 11:00 am.

Meetings
4 times a year with actual dates sent to members. Meetings are set before Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas food basket drive plus one additional meeting. Contact is also kept via letters from the conference president

Volunteer Opportunities
Recycling program
SVP is now recyclying small appliances, working or not: stereos, speakers, computers, monitors, printers, TVs, DVDs, VCRs, microwaves, amall kitchen appliances, etc. Items can be picked up by calling 871-6844. Or items can be brought to any of our stores located in San Mateo, Redwood City, Daly City or SSF. All proceeds from the recylcing program benefit the needy in San Mateo County.
Phone volunteers
Need Spanish/English speaking volunteers to answer phones in 2-3 hours shifts between 9:30am and 4pm at their offices, 50 N. B Street, San Mateo. Volunteers do intake of clients’ requests, log the call and enter into Access-based computer data system. Contact the San Mateo County Office directly.
